Hickenlooper Statement on ARRA Broadband Grant

John Hickenlooper's statement on the $5.2 million American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grants and loans announced today for the Nunn Telephone Company broadband project.
"I am pleased to see Colorado recognized by the Administration for a broadband grant that will bring greater connectivity to northern Colorado communities, and I am hopeful this is an indication there is more to come for our state," Hickenlooper said. "Local communities throughout the state are hungry for broadband connections to spur job growth and allow a 21st-century education for children, so I will continue to work with Colorado communities and Rotaries that have made the Centennial BOCES/EAGLE-Net proposal to connect 178 Colorado school districts a priority."
